Artist Statement“My style can vary significantly depending on my mood. I love shooting and creating eclectic and abstract floral and macro images, bright colors and creative black and whites. The journalist in me comes out when I travel and document cultures and scenics. I also love capturing live action and sports from local or collegiate sports to my beloved Red Sox. I started shooting with black and white film with my mother’s old Minolta my senior year in high school where I immediately developed the same passion I have for photography today. My freshman year at Tufts I took the advanced black and white photography course spending many hours shooting and working in a darkroom. I joined the Tufts Daily and within a semester was running the photography department providing me with my own darkroom for 3 years. I started shooting with my digital SLR about 3 years ago and although I do miss the darkroom, my true love of photography has always been about taking the photos and having the feeling of “I got it” or “That’s the one.” Digital allows me to take more photos and allows me to get even more creative (not wasting film) while not having to spend hours in a literal darkroom.” BiographyBorn and raised in Rhode Island, Eric Anderson developed his passion
