"To me, Art is life! I have been drawing ever since I could
hold a crayon. One of my favorite places to be is in my studio, where
I find creating art to be very therapeutic.
My medium of choice is watercolor. It seems to lend itself perfectly with
my personal style and technique. There is something miraculous about the
rich details in a flower's petal...in the shape of each leaf of a tree...how
intricately feathers cover a bird's body...These observations are what
inspire my artwork. The more details the better! I work either from real
life or from photographs I have taken. Although my favorite medium is
watercolor, I also enjoy Pen & Ink and color pencil. Additionally,
I am offering a selection of handcrafted note cards and gift tags created
from my reproductions. Each one includes acid free, hand made paper with
deckled edges.
Although I have taken some formal classes in art, most of what I do is
self-taught. Past projects include a home-based business as a professional
artist in the Greeting Card Industry and commissioned works such as The
Downtown Putnam Trail Map/ watercolor."
