Where is Pomfret, Connecticut?

Located in the heart of Southern New England on a Nationally Designated Scenic Byway, RT 169, the Gallery & Shoppes at Celebrations is set in a National Heritage Corridor (The Last Green Valley) and the Connecticut state tourism district of Mystic Country in the bucolic northern section known as the "Quiet Corner".

For interesting information about the area, a good source is The Putnam Traveler (www.putnamtraveler.com), a local tourism quarterly. You can subscribe for e-mail alerts when the new issue is online.

A visit is worth the trip! In addition to scenic drives, the area offers antique shopping, fine & casual dining, two vineyards, country inns and B&Bs, hiking and walking trails. Art-related events such as the annual "Artists in the Country" and the popular Roseland Cottage Fine Arts & Crafts shows in Woodstock are other attractions.
