Artist Statement“I have always adored beautiful things. This love of beauty has taken me from graphic design to fine arts to my latest obsession: fine art photography. I enjoy the challenge of capturing an ordinary object or scene in a way that hasn't been done before. I was drawn to the MetalTone* process because it combines the technical aspect of digital photography with the handmade quality of painting." "O great creator of being grant us one more hour to perform our art and perfect our lives." - Jim Morrison BiographyBefore discovering photography, Lucy was employed in the printing and graphic arts industry for several years. One day, while waiting in line at the post office, she struck up a conversation with the owner of a local portrait studio and was offered a job as a photo retoucher. Being around this photographer's beautiful work inspired her to purchase a digital camera and start making images of her own. Lucy has a certificate in Advertising and Sales promotion and has studied
Fine Arts at various schools. She has won several awards for her work,
and one of her images recently appeared on the cover of the iTowns section
of The Hartford Courant.
