Artist Statement“I have been designing jewelry since I was a young girl. At first
I raided my mother’s jewelry box, then my grandmother’s button
jar, which produced all kinds of funky and hip earrings. It was fun to
play with color and composition. The combinations were endless and a masterpiece
was always in the making. BiographyCarolyn Hebert has been a lifelong Massachusetts resident. She was born and raised in the sleepy town of Sturbridge, world known for historic Old Sturbridge Village. Carolyn’s interest in design began as a young child when she participated as one of the Old Sturbridge Village children playing Early American games on the Common, carding wool, spinning, weaving and other crafts and art forms of that era. As an adolescent, her design interests expanded to fashion design and interior decorating. Carolyn attended school for Fashion Design and later worked for an Interior Designer before the birth of her first daughter. With a grown family and creative time available, it was a natural progression to combine these loves with a passion for the beauty of gemstones and pearls. Carolyn enrolled in classes to learn the art of hand knotting silk and
is GIA Certified in Pearl Grading and has been creating heirloom quality
pearl and gemstone jewelry since then. Her designs incorporate unique
and difficult to find pearls and gemstones. All of her creations are made
with the finest attention to detail and construction, using the highest
