17, 2010, Pomfret, CT … From July 16th - August 29th,
Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes' in Pomfret will host “A
Midsummer Celebration of Creativity” in the gallery’s
Grand Foyer. The show will celebrate the magic of the summer season. This
exhibition of original artwork will be fun & playful as artists delve
into their dreams and passions....and recall their perfect summertime memory.
Enjoy complimentary refreshments during the opening night’s “Meet the Artists” Reception on Friday, July 16 from 5-8PM. All are welcome to this free event.
New works will be featured by the following local and regional artists: Emily Boosadha (oils & watercolors), Jan Geoghegan (encaustics, mixed media), Bernice Harmyk (acrylics), Jen Hart (oils & watercolors), Donna O’Scolaigh Lange (oil paintings), Susan Rosenstone Larrow (acrylics), Barry Littmann (photo collage), Ann Rosebrooks (acrylics), Wolfgang Schweizer (acrylics), Nicole Sullivan (mosaics), Regina Thomas (mixed media collage), Robert Thomas (photography), and Carol Wontkowski (photography).
In addition to an opportunity to meet the artists and complimentary refreshments, the Opening Reception on July 16th will feature live music. On this midsummer night, also enjoy "Dream Work" with Celebrations' Artist Kari Kline. Kari has studied at the Jungian Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. From 5:30 to 7:30 PM, Kari will offer 10-minute dream interpretations. Bring a dream to explore!
