St. Patrick’s Day Jewelry Appraisal
February 15, 2007, Pomfret, CT … Do you have the "Luck of the Irish?" Could a pot of gold be hiding in your jewelry box? To find out, join GIA Gemologist and Estate Jewelry Expert Bernie Stachura at Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes in Pomfret on Saint Patrick's Day for a Jewelry Appraisal Event.
The appraisal session will take place on Saturday, March 17 from 11AM to 4PM. Stachura will examine your jewelry and provide a verbal appraisal for $12/item or a written appraisal for $50/item (retail value: $100), the latter of which is valid for insurance purposes. You may choose to first get a verbal appraisal and if you decide to take it a step further, the initial $12 will be credited towards the cost of a written document.
A renowned gemologist, Stachura is a consistent award winner of the Gems and Gemology Challenge (8 of last 9 years) and has performed gem identification and appraisal clinics since 1996. Stachura has taught and lectured at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Club, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Metalwerx Studio. His gemologist degree includes certificates in Pearls, Appraisal, Sales, Retailing and Display. Estate jewelry from Stachura's own collection will also be available for sale at this event, ranging from contemporary selections to Victorian and vintage pieces.
