“Simply Diamonds,” Free Lecture
June 28, 2007, Pomfret, CT … Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes in Pomfret offers the fourth free lecture in our summer series. On Sunday, July 15th from 1 to 3 PM, local jewelry maker and graduate gemologist (GIA) Karen Chartier will share her expertise on the timeless, treasured diamond.
Trained at Boston’s acclaimed North Bennet Street School, Chartier is known for her hand-fabricated, one-of-a-kind gold, silver and platinum jewelry. She will excite, inform and enlighten you with everything you always wanted to know about the diamond. From formation, sources, and the 4 “Cs” to image, myths and magic, come and explore the most famous and coveted gemstone in the world.
