Marita Putetti, Acrylics
Artist Statement: “Each and every one of us is creative and we all express it in
different ways. My personal form of creativity tends to be with painting,
but I also like sketching, pastels and collage. I particularly like to
take things apart and reduce them to their basic graphic elements. All
sorts of design and art forms interest me from the primitive rock and
cave paintings all the way to our most modern artists. The work that we,
as a species, have produced throughout our history further enforces the
idea that we have all been given the gift of creativity.” BiographyMarita majored in art at the University of Connecticut. She has exhibited
at the Slater Museum in Norwich, Ct. and the New Haven Paint and Clay
Club in New Haven, Ct. She resides in Waterbury, Ct. with her two children,
Francine and Tony, their dog Arlene and two cats, Dave and Baby Beau.
