Author Statement“Writing has nourished and sustained me throughout a lifetime. I have been in love with words since I learned the alphabet. They give us a way to reach out, self-reveal, and connect. Ultimately, they help us to be remembered. My memoir, Gathering Roses, Thorns and All, Reflections on
a Charmed Life, is part of my children’s and grandchildren’s
inheritance. They will continue to know me—and my view of life--through
my words. People often ask me why I wrote a memoir. A nonagenarian friend
actually asked, with a gentle touch of skepticism: “Have you lived
long enough?” To which I answered with conviction: “I have
lived fully enough.” I believe that the more fully you live your
life, the more you need to share it and to connect through your sharing. “You speak for me,” a reader confided, giving me the best compliment I could ever receive. Writing a memoir is a wonderful way to assess, reassess, and re-evaluate your life, and choose the next path that is in your best interest. You are recording your soul’s journey. My relentless Muse continues to tap me on my shoulder: Recently I completed a reincarnational/time travel romance, Rendez-Vous, the story of three people throughout five transformational lifetimes, breaking a karmic spell.
