Lynn Wrona, Pastels & Oils

Artist Statement

“I paint my subjects on site from life, equally comfortable using oil or pastel. I will paint my impressions of people or the New England countryside, presenting what I see in full, complimentary, sun-lit colors. I enjoy painting still-life commissions for clients in a traditional style using their own family heirlooms.

I love working in the pastel medium, their beautiful colors and versatility bring such fun to the pastel painting process. Oil paints, canvas, brushes, easel and a light source. What happiness! I really enjoy painting the nostalgic still-life in oil paints using light and shadow. The shadow holds the painting together, the light gives it life...”
